What else can you do… I watch, listen, read. I try and understand, I really do…
I nod in appreciation, occasionally.
But mostly shake my head in disbelief.
Or clench my fists in anger or grind my teeth in frustration.
It’s like I cant help but let this stuff seep into everything I do.
It’s like treacle. It somehow gets everywhere.
Sticky, messy.
It leaves a stain.

During the winter weeks of late November into December 2020, I collected and collated field recordings, samples from the radio and TV and returned to my collection of redundant technology and past their sell by date musical instruments and battered 78rpm records.

I tried so hard to create melodies. To create structures.
I mean they are there but they just got mashed up, glitched, buried.

Four songs. Or are they laments?

BLOOD ON THE FLOOR AND TEAR GAS.
SILENT BEACHES.
FILTER OUT THE WHITE NOISE THAT SURROUNDS YOU.
PEOPLE LURED US WITH THE PROMISE.

The films are cyclic, repetitive, looped, sequenced.
The narrative is a single punch repeated for three or four minutes.
